Hot off the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, which grossed a billion dollars in the U.S. alone, the Oscar-nominated 22-year-old has swashbuckled her way into a spate of prestigious projects. This fall will see her in two literary adaptations: the WWII Ian McEwan romance Atonement, which will re-team Knightley with Pride and Prejudice director Joe Wright, and Alessandro Barrico’s love story Silk. She’s also reuniting with The Jacket director John Mayberry for The Edge of Love, a drama about two free-thinking women loved by the same poet.
