Dylan film costumes on show at Swansea May 5

An exhibition about the film, The Edge of Love, opens at the Dylan Thomas Centre in Swansea at the end of May. It will include costumes, storyboards, graphics and other items from the movie.

The Dylan Thomas Centre houses the largest collection of Dylan Thomas memorabilia in the world and is the focal point for his fans across the globe.

The film exhibition will stand alongside the Centre’s permanent collection, which explores Dylan’s life and work through a variety of media from letters and books to photographs and digital film.

Iwan Davies, Swansea Council’s Head of Culture and Tourism, said: “This is an exciting opportunity for Swansea as the film has generated a lot of interest, both within Wales and throughout the UK.”

The Edge of Love is a film about the life and loves of Swansea’s legendary poet and the women who surround him. Directed by the award-winning John Maybury and produced by Rebekah Gilbertson and Sarah Radclyffe, the screenplay is by Sharman Macdonald.

The film opens in London on June 20 prior to a nationwide release on June .

The Dylan Thomas Centre is open from 10am to 4.30pm, including bank holidays, seven days a week.
