TORONTO — For someone constantly scrutinized for her slender frame, Keira Knightley knows how to stuff her face.

“I have food! That’s so good!” crows Knightley, surveying the spread before her. She jams chunks of a banana into her mouth and cheerfully recounts an earlier mishap with an ingestible.

“I was wearing really great trousers, but then I spilled tea down (them),” says Knightley, who changed into a flouncy green skirt paired with a white blouse, blue jacket and decadent Chanel Mary Jane heels.

She points to her gams, now on display. “And I didn’t shave my legs. It’s quite embarrassing,” says Knightley, as she admits how hard it is to shake the illusion that “randomly, somebody is just rubbing them up and down.“

Keira Knightley hates going to parties.

The actress - who was nominated for an Oscar for her role in 2005 movie ‘Pride and Prejudice’ - says despite her profession, she hates the partying lifestyle that comes with it.

She said: “I don’t like showbiz bashes very much. I’m not sociable and I seldom, if ever, set foot in any London clubs. I went to Vanity Fair magazine’s post-Oscars party last year but I just stood in the corner, drinking champagne. I have very few real showbusiness friends.”

Keira also revealed her biggest extravagance stems from her love of beautiful footwear.

She added: “If I see a pair of shoes that I adore and they haven’t got them in my size, I still have to have them. My boyfriend Rupert Friend and I just bought a house together in Richmond, Surrey, and it might not have a lot of furniture but it’s got a lot of my shoes!”

‘There’s always an element of fear that you’re not going to be able to make people believe in the fiction,’ she tells Weekend magazine. ‘That suddenly you’re going to be standing there in your dress and wig, and feel like a complete wanker.’

Keira Knightley would be willing to get pregnant to prove that she’s not anorexic.

The actress’ career has been dogged by rumors — which she has repeatedly denied — that she suffers from an eating disorder.

And Keira — who is dating actor Rupert Friend — feels the only way to put an end to the speculation is to have a baby.

She tells Canada’s National Post newspaper, “That’s a good reason to have a kid.

“They won’t say I’m anorexic anymore. S*it, I’ve got to have a child.

“I can’t win. One week I’m anorexic and now my curves are too big. I mean really? It’s a joke.

“Am I too tall, too short? Well I’m sorry I’m me.

“It’s so predictable to be asked about it, but to me it’s not appropriate.“

“I got such a shock, I couldn’t say anything because I’d been thinking about the book and this guy took incredible offence and started hurling the most amazing abuse.

‘He said, “Who the f… do you think you f…ing are? You’re such a c…” All this, and I’m completely on my own.”

“It’s a weird thing to have to deal with, not on a day-to-day basis, but it’s happened enough to make me quite jumpy,‘ the actress said.

British actress KEIRA KNIGHTLEY has a surprising secret - she is obsessed with gritty TV cop show THE WIRE.

The Atonement star admits the only time she really treats herself is when she splashes out on DVDs - and hates watching regular television because the commercials annoy her.

And her favourite show of the moment is cult police drama The Wire, which is broadcast on America’s HBO network.

She says, “Oh, my god, it’s brilliant! I bought season one and rushed out for two and three - and I’ll have to get it all. That’s my extravagance: drama DVDs.

“I just don’t want adverts asking me to change my furniture or to go to an island.“

Keira Knightley: “I started reading the book when I was doing Edge of Love, (but) it wasn’t the book, Saul (Dibb, the director) sent me a letter and he sent me three really big ostrich feathers tied with a nice big bow…They’re very pretty, I thought a man who does that, you have to work with him really!”
