According with People, Emma Watson will not replace Keira for Chanel =]

The internet is abuzz with reports that Harry Potter star Emma Watson is stepping in to replace Keira Knightley as the face of their Mademoiselle fragrance — to the tune of a 3 million pound contract! Unfortunately for Watson, unless there is a magic trick at foot, this is all simply smoke and mirrors. A rep for Chanel tells PEOPLE that the rumor is “100 percent not true. We can’t figure out where this came from. It’s everywhere!”

Harry Potter star Emma Watson is set to replace Keira Knightley as the face of French fashion house Chanel - signing a reported $6 million (£3 million) contract.

Knightley has been the star of the advertising campaigns for premium fragrance Coco Chanel since 2006, but the actress’s contract expires this summer (08).
And bosses at Chanel have reportedly lined up 18-year-old Watson to take Knightley’s place.

A source tells British newspaper The Mail on Sunday, “Emma has been slowly integrated into the Chanel brand. They have been dressing her for film premieres and parties over recent months to see if she is the right fit.

“Once it became clear she is growing into a beautiful young woman and wears the Chanel brand so elegantly, they had to sign her up.”

The mother of Keira Knightley, the actress, has hit out at a whispering campaign suggesting her daughter has an eating disorder.

Sharman Macdonald, the Scottish playwright, blamed “playgound bullies” for spreading persistent rumours about her daughter’s waif-like physique.

Macdonald said her 23-year-old daughter, best known for her roles in the Pirates of the Caribbean series, Bend It Like Beckham and Atonement, has a genetic predisposition to thin-ness, inherited from her father.

She says Knightley has been forced to adopt a diet high in protein and carbohydrates to ensure that she does not become too thin. Like her father Will Knightley, a theatre actor, she must “eat like a horse” to maintain a healthy body weight.

“She has always been thin. She’s her daddy’s daughter, with his long body,” she said. “Daddy was much, much thinner than Keira. When he was Keira’s age, he had to drink milk with honey and eggs, and go training and training and training, just to be a normal weight.

Keira Knightley was talking about the sadness behind the half-smile of the woman who sat for Gainsborough’s last portrait.

The Oscar-nominated actress was referring to Georgiana, who became mistress of Devonshire House - once the grandest house in London - as wife of William, the fifth Duke of Devonshire.

‘She was one of society’s biggest stars. Every man in London loved her - the only one who didn’t was her husband,’ Keira told me. ‘This is a story about two people who just didn’t work.

‘Their marriage was a contract: she was to provide a son and heir. That was her duty.

A lot of sites are reporting that Keira wants to make the new remake of ‘My Fair Lady’, but nothing is confirmed yet.

Keira Knightley is in talks to follow in the footsteps of Audrey Hepburn and star in a remake of My Fair Lady. The 23-year-old will star as Eliza Doolittle, the humble cockney flower girl who makes good in Edwardian high society.

Producers will keep the story rooted in 1912 London and are in talks with actors to star opposite Knightley as Doolittle’s upper-crust tutor, Henry Higgins.

My Fair Lady is Lerner and Loewe’s musical adaptation of Pygmalion, a stage-play by George Bernard Shaw. The production broke box office records when it debuted on Broadway in 1956 and made a star of the young Julie Andrews. The 1964 film version, starring Hepburn and Rex Harrison, went on to win eight Oscars. It featured the songs I Could Have Danced All Night, Wouldn’t it Be Lovely and Get Me to the Church on Time.
